Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 29, 2026. This policy explains what personal information Ironclad Financial Education collects, why we collect it, and the rights you have under Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

1. Who we are

Ironclad Financial Education ("Ironclad," "we," "us," or "our") operates the website ironcladfinancials.com. Ironclad is operated by Martins Obakpolor, a licensed insurance and financial-planning professional based in Alberta, Canada. This policy applies to personal information collected through this website and related email communications.

2. Information we collect

We collect personal information directly from you when you interact with the site:

  • Contact information — your name and email address, when you sign up for the newsletter, request the Family Financial Protection Checklist, or start the 7-Day Cash Flow Reset series.
  • Purchase information — when you buy The Financial Clarity Blueprint eBook, your payment is processed directly by Stripe. We do not collect or store your full card number; Stripe provides us with confirmation of payment and a receipt email address.
  • Scheduling information — if you book an educational call through our Calendly link, the information you provide (such as your name, email, and any notes) is collected directly by Calendly under its own privacy policy.
  • Technical information — our hosting provider, Netlify, automatically logs standard technical data (such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited) for security, performance, and form-submission handling.

3. How we use your information

  • To deliver the specific free resource or email series you requested
  • To process and deliver your eBook purchase, and send purchase receipts
  • To send the newsletter or educational emails you've opted into
  • To respond to questions or requests you send us
  • To maintain the security and proper functioning of the website

We do not use your information to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.

4. Consent

We collect and use your personal information based on your consent. Submitting a form on this site is your express request for, and consent to receive, the specific communication tied to that form. You may withdraw your consent at any time — see our CASL Consent & Email Communications Policy for details on how to unsubscribe.

5. How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes. We share limited information with the service providers who help us operate the site, each governed by its own privacy policy:

  • Stripe — payment processing for eBook purchases
  • Netlify — website hosting, form storage, and the newsletter/guide-request forms
  • Calendly — scheduling for educational consultation calls

6. International data transfers

Our service providers (including Netlify, Stripe, and Calendly) may store or process information on servers located outside Canada, including in the United States. By using this website, you acknowledge that your information may be transferred to and processed in those jurisdictions, which may have different data protection laws than Canada.

7. Data storage and security

Form submissions are stored through Netlify's infrastructure. We take reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect your personal information, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Data retention

We retain your contact information for as long as needed to provide the service you requested, to maintain our CASL consent records (see our CASL Consent Policy), or until you ask us to delete it — whichever is longer, subject to any legal record-keeping obligations.

9. Your rights under PIPEDA

As a Canadian resident, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information
  • Withdraw your consent to future collection, use, or communication, subject to legal or contractual restrictions
  • File a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada if you believe your privacy rights have been violated

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 13 below.

10. Children's privacy

This website is not directed to individuals under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.

11. Cookies and tracking

This site currently uses only the technical cookies/local storage necessary for basic site functionality (such as remembering that you've dismissed a notice). We do not currently run third-party advertising or analytics trackers. If that changes, we will update this policy.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Effective date" at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
